The room had been cleaned but the place needs an overhaul.
The floor and the bathroom was clean.
The couches and mattresses and rugs need to be replaced.

I didn't have high expectations of this hotel for the price that paid, but I still expect a place to be clean. There were major renovations under way, and the place was visibly run down with stained carpets in the common areas, and outmoded furni There was a refrigerator, microwave and ironing board/iron in the room. The bed was comfortable.
It was dirty, there were frogs in the hallway and under renovation, the pool/whirlpool was closed for repairs.
