Customer Reviews for Residence Inn Charleston Charlestoncustomer rating 3.5 out of 5 Other hotels deal with this problem too, and some do it more successfully: in the collar seasons, it is difficult to control heating and cooling in the rooms. There is NO REASON for a hotel room to be too hot when you want it cooler, or vice versa, since there are many lovely HVAC systems available that allow room by room control of heating and AC. We will stay in hotels that invest in such systems in the future. Additionally, in a room that was advertised to have a "full" kitchen, it is unacceptable for the room not to have an oven. Without an oven, it is not a full kitchen, even if it has a cook top, fridge, and dishwasher. Residence Inn, you can do better! Lovely room, great desk staff, and free parking. Could not control heat in the room - we had to sleep with the windows open which meant it was noisy and still too hot. customer rating 2.5 out of 5 The property is likely a 2.5 star, but not a 3 star. It lacks a restaurant on property and is located at distance from available dining options. It has nice clean common areas, but my personal bathroom was unclean when I arrived. Overall it is a fine hotel, but truly not a 3 star. The staff were very kind. The bathroom in the room was dirty. customer rating 5 out of 5 Nice people working. The kitchenette & table was nice to eat take out in & the overall room was cozy w a fireplace. Hot tub was outside & we were under the impression that it was inside.
