The building was nice, the lobby was nice, the breakfast area was nice. The room was nice. All around, the hotel was in great condition, modern, and quaint. Had everything we need, and everything was in good shape. My kids loved the breakfast - the pancake machine and the bacon were huge hits - usually you see waffles and sausage instead of pancakes and bacon. The pool was nice and my kids enjoyed it. It was not too cold, which is rare. They would have loved a hot tub too, but we were fine with just the pool. The front desk staff and staff in the breakfast area were SO nice and accommodating! nothing comes to mind customer rating 3.4 out of 5 The hotel met our expectations and the new clean bedding was really nice. We were on our way from Cincinnati to North Myrtle Beach and arrived in Spartanburg after a six hour drive. The front desk staff was efficient and friendly. The only drawback was that my husband noticed a car parked next to our car and the driver appeared to be asleep or passed out behind the wheel. There seemed to be a lot of traffic passing by the motel on the way to a local movie theater and we were concerned about security in and around the parking lot. My husband reported this to the desk clerk and since she was the only staff person on duty at that late hour, she let us know that she would be calling the police to check things out. The bedding was clean and new. Possible security problems. See review.
