There aren't any less expensive options on the island. Most visitors to the island are more affluent and if you can afford to stay somewhere else you should. The price paid for Hilton Head Island is a great price and the pool was gorgeous. The place was filled during our stay for some golf tournament on the island and the staff was overwhelmed. Traveling with small kids and on a budget it was okay for two nights, but not great. Pool was awesome - was very warm and was used by many guests even though it was cool outside. Although the room wasn't dirty, the room has not been updated in a long time. Even the towels were old and tired. The breakfast was very minimal. customer rating 1.5 out of 5
The hotel is good looking from the outside the hall ways and rooms are old, worn and dirty. When you drive up and meet the desk clerks you are very excited and happy about the hotel. When you are in the hall way you start to wonder and then when you open the door to the rooms you want to run. I am glad I had my own pillow and had flip flops to wear in the room and bath. It looks nice from the outside. Desk clerks are very friendly. Hallways and rooms are old, worn and very dirty. First room had no air-conditioning just a big hole in the wall. customer rating 4.5 out of 5 Good for a family vacation. It was clean, convent, and with a warm Pool. Outside stairs.
