Hair was found on carpet and furniture that brought into question the overall cleanliness of the room. Parking signs were not clearly labeled. Disappointed by breakfast selection. customer rating 3 out of 5 Be sure to be ready to pay for parking and bring your extra pillows. The desk staff told me that we could pay for parking when we left the garage and will only have to pay $10 because we were hotel guests. This need up being over $20 because the hotel didn't tell us we needed to go and get a voucher from them for the parking. Why wouldn't they tell me this to begin with, or give me the voucher upon checking into the hotel.
The place was peaceful at night; however, at 7:20am the hotel decided it was a good time to test out their fire alarm system which went on for over 30 minutes. This was very loud and repetitive and took away many people's sleep time.
I feel as if this experience was them doing whatever it took to save on their costs rather than trying to get customers happy so they will return. I would not recommend this to anyone looking for good service; however, for a cheap night in Chinatown it is not a bad place. The hotel was very close to the University downtown and within walking distance of major Toronto attractions. I asked the hotel for extra pillows because there were four people staying in our room; they questions why we needed extra pillows and then refused to bring us any because they claimed our room was made for two people.
