They had 3 buildings facing the river, only one other car there at the building farthest up from the river. They also placed me in that building, and put us both on rooms away from the river view. Didn't even know they had rooms without a river view... but not to worry, those little rooms felt like an ice fishing shack, so it was close.
Then, as if to pour salt in the wound, the front desk staff booked a group of kids at 10:30pm in the room opposite mine.. facing the river. They partied off and on, all night. First - Couldn't believe that they wouldn't give me a river view room, when there were only 2 other rooms even booked for the entire evening -Second - I was up all night, and noticed no other cars at the other buildings. I almost forgot about the screeching bat that was near the door. Sounded like it used this room as a place to hang when not flying. I will obviously never stay here again. I will gladdy pay the extra for the Quality Inn where they have a river view in every room. Close to Ogdensburg, and was cheaper than the Quality Inn a block away - but I will never stay again. Incompetent staff - booking a group of kids in the room next to mine at 10:30pm. customer rating 4 out of 5 We arrived at midnight and unfortunately the housekeeping staff had forgotten to turn on the heat. It was -16C outside and barely warmer than that in the room. It took many hours to warm up. The management was very apologetic the following day and wanted to make it up to us, without being asked. I would stay there again, even though we had some trouble. It was located right on the Niagara river - very pretty.
