I got the feeling the extra fees for the pool and fitness $10 each were for customers. Good location. well maintained. staff was very accommodating. More times than not, I get the room by the elevators, ice machine, etc. This time I was disappointed by the hotel staff. There was major construction outside ( jackhammers!! )All night long. I am not blaming the hotel, but I'm sure that they had vacancies because of this and they should have put us in rooms on the opposite side of the construction zone. I thought that it was strange that there were so few people on our floor on a Friday night in NYC. It was an absolutely terrible experience. There was major construction going on all night long right outside of hotel.
