The hotel has large rooms that are very clean! NA customer rating 0.5 out of 5 This is a very standard hotel, dated carpet and wallpaper. Bed was OK firm. Bathroom clean but only ONE towel (no washcloth, no bathmat). One thin blanket. Pillows OK. There is an unpleasant smell, worst in stairwell, but doesn't smell in room. Biggest issue is clerk rude and nasty. From tripadvisor it's clear this has been a problem before. Clerk first lied that there was not room with 2 beds available. Also pretended he didn't understand request because his English was bad. We called hotel from outside and were told there were rooms with 2 queens. We could only have room with one bed unless we paid $20 more. Or we could have roll away cot for $10. Clerk's English was fine. I mentioned previous tripadvisor review with similar problem where manager then commented on tripadvisor that he was sorry about incident. Breakfast adequate, standard continental. Bad smell in stairwell, occasionally in hall. Nasty smug desk clerk who lied and tried to get more $ than FB price. customer rating 5 out of 5 Hard to enter and exit from road but big parking lot, not noisey and close to Budd Lake diner for the best food I have had in along time.
