The owners obviously take pride in their establishment, and were working to make improvements even while we were there. So much character! We loved the very large, clover leaf indoor heated pool, and the just-right spa. There were also pool tables, ping pong tables, and video games for those who might want them. We were there in April, and it was very quiet. Wireless was good, and there was a decent hot breakfast buffet provided.(Don't expect waffles - there weren't any.) Overall, a delightful experience. The beds were comfortable, the housekeeping adequate and there was a free breakfast. customer rating 4 out of 5 Upon arrival, the outside appearance of the hotel is quite plain and pitiful. However, upon entering, to our glad surprise, the hotel was clean, spacious, and had a huge, inviting pool and recreation area in the center. The front desk was NOT always available. After calling the number listed at the front desk several times, a woman eventually showed up to tell me that her husband would be able to check me in as soon as he was finished with his lunch. (That's not good customer service.) There was another time I had to leave the front desk since no one showed up. Otherwise, the service and attention of the front desk was good. The "hot breakfast" was low/average. The pool area was very large, but in March, the water was cold. The room was in good condition. Spacious enough and clean. The mattresses were extra firm. We would stay there again only for the moderate cost, generally good service, and location. The money saved would be spent on other attractions around town. The rooms were in good, clean condition. The pool area was huge. Easy access. Pets were limited to smoking rooms only - Gross! Such pet friendly /smoking rooms only had two double sized beds.
