It is family owned and they are incredibly nice and accommodating. Its pet friendly and for a reasonable rate unlike many chains. There also is not a size limitation on pets either so large dogs are not left behind. The location is nice and the hotel is in a quiet area. Overall this is a great choice for the budget traveler. I have stayed there twice and will stay again because of the staff and bang for your buck. The staff is amazingly friendly and accommodating. The beds were a bit uncomfortable. customer rating 4.5 out of 5 Basic motel accommodations, but good staff, and convenient to area attractions. Proprietor was extremely friendly and helpful. 1st room refrigerator didn't work; proprietor quickly changed our room. customer rating 5 out of 5 Upon arrival, the staff of the Old Bards town Inn were welcoming and very friendly. We were told to let them know if we needed anything - even in the middle of the night. Upon getting to our room, I could not get the TV remote to respond; immediately the hotel staff came to the aid and helped me work the remote. The stay was great, the amenities were very good for the area and the rate, and I was VERY pleased with everything. Myself and my two young boys will definitely be return customers - I can't speak highly enough for the friendly staff! Staff was wonderful - friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. There was nothing that I found to be a dislike about the Old Bards town Inn.
