There appeared to be some minor maintenance issues, such as a running toilet. (Warning: The architecture and landscape is irregular, so the steps and thresholds are at variable, non-standard levels which can be dangerous if your walking or vision is impaired. I almost fell several times.) Because of my own history, I am very sensitive to the presence of a bully. At the hotel, I sensed that the staff seemed to be on the defensive, as if management were easily angered. They appeared to be given no flexibility by management. When someone noted that there had been a very noisy bus beeping in the parking lot during the night, the staff got defensive, as if they expected to be blamed for the noise. To a person, they appeared to be in fear of complaints. I would not willingly stay at this hotel again because of what I perceive as management issues. The price was right and the staff were as helpful as they were allowed to be. The staff appeared haggard, as if bullied by management. We arrived in town early and they had our room prepared and ready to check in even though it was prior to our scheduled check in time. Very friendly staff!
