Customer Reviews for The Equus Honolulucustomer rating 4 out of 5 Don't let the outside deceive you - the building looks a bit dated and run-down but the inside is nicely renovated and though it has a few blemishes is actually pretty nice. Staff was friendly and the hotel is very conveniently located a short walk to most everything in Waikiki. Underline walk. If you have a car you may want to think twice about Equus - it has a grand total of 15 parking spaces for the entire hotel. I ended up parking a block and a half away. Still it's a good value and was a comfortable place to stay. Location and style of room. Parking is almost non-existent and it's not terribly quiet. customer rating 5 out of 5 Great location, centrally located to an awesome club Rumors room was clean and the staff were very friendly. The staff was helpful upon arrival and the room was updated, apparently most of the hotels in the area haven't been touched since the 70s, this one had a flat screen TV and a pillow top mattress that was perfect for crashing out after walking around Waikiki all day. the hotel offers complementary breakfast at a restaurant near by, you can either get a free breakfast consisting of eggs, your choice of potatoes rice, or pancakes, and toast or get $3 off of any breakfast item there. the restaurant was a little busy later in the morning, but if we arrived early it was nice and I definitely appreciated the free breakfast. I also appreciated the fact that the price that was quotec to me was the price I paid upon check-out. Hotel exceeded my expectations, the room was much more modern than hotelsI reviewed around the same area, the bed was extremely comfortable. The elevator took a while, but had no problem using the stairs.
