Customer Reviews for Tampa - Days Inn Busch Gardens-maingate Tampacustomer rating 2.5 out of 5 Overall experience was good and close to most things needed when traveling with youngsters. Please have drink/cooler. Hotel Restaurant was out of business and none of the vending machines worked on the premises. Economically right, friendly staff, close to proximity. Hotel is not at main gate, not handicap friendly, becauseI didn't reserve for handicapI wasn't afforded the opportunity to have access to one. customer rating 0.5 out of 5 Holes cut out of carpet, dead lizard (decayed) in bathroom along with broken tile & filth, mold filled artwork on the walls, phone & TV remote did not work, restaurant closed, overhead exhaust fan hanging from ceiling in the bathroom, shower curtain not connected to walls on either side. It was awful. I have pictures to prove all of this. The phone which did not work had advertisements & numbers on it for a wilderness retreat in MAINE! Our card was maxed out because the money had already been removed from our account for this room. If we had the funds we would have gone to another hotel. We were broke & VERY UPSET with this experience. VERY dissatisfied. As I said before, I have pictures & have tried to call numerous times to state our unhappiness with this motel. We put up with a non English speaking maintenance man ( who we waited an hour for ) in our room for almost 45 minutes while he tried to replace phone lines. He left a TV remote that had no numbers. Only up & down for channels. No channel guide. While he was in our room he had other calls on his walkie talkie about other rooms with the same problems. Free internet went in & out! It was really bad. A bad experience in every way. We were told by hotel staff that we would get a 10% discount for breakfast before we went to Busch Gardens. When we arrived at 8:10 it was closed. We were told... He's on his way! We are not happy. This was an anniversary trip. We only had one night! We had no more money and were at the mercy of this awful experience. Nothing. It was just awful. customer rating 2.5 out of 5 About one mile from the Busch Gardens entrance gate. Cheap-you get what you pay for. I did not expect a nice place, but I do expect clean. Hair in the tub and debris on the floor is not acceptable. I would pay a little more to stay some where nicer if I were to do it again. Cheap. Hair in the tub, debris on the floor, TV did not work on all channels and color was green!
