Upon arrival, called the hotel to ask about the free shuttle service that was offered. Hotel requested that I call back in 20 minutes because they didn't know and were busy. Once I got back in touch with the hotel after waiting 20 minutes, I was told the shuttle runs every 30 minutes. Our shuttle arrived an hour later. Once arriving to the hotel, they had given us a smoking room. I asked if they could change room due to being a non-smoker. Employee proceeded to tell me the hotel was sold out and no other rooms were available. While filling out paperwork, another customer proceeded to check in with a different employee. This customer also had a smoking room, requested a different room, and was granted a different room with no problems. Not wanting to argue, we accepted the room. The room smelt as a typical smoking room would smell. We proceeded to use the A/C in the room and the knobs were broken. It was either full A/C or none. Before retiring for the evening, I asked the front desk about the shuttle service in the morning. I was told the shuttle started at 6 AM and they should be able to take us at ANY time. We awoke at 6:30 AM, cleaned-up and proceeded to check out at 7:10 AM. When we asked for a shuttle to the airport, they proceeded to tell us that the shuttle only ran every hour in the morning. Had we been told this the night before, we could have been ready 15 minutes earlier. Instead, we had to call a taxi and had added expenses due to the poor lack of communication by the hotel. Our overall experience in this hotel was aggravating from start to finish. Poor customer service. customer rating 3 out of 5 The bar and grill was a nice touch. Breakfast buffet was pricey. customer rating 4.5 out of 5 Hotel was clean and offered typical amenities for a 2-3 star hotel.
