Location was just right to get every where you need to be, people very friendly. Good location about a 1/2 hour walk from cannery row. The hotel was pretty awful. The stairs to the 2nd floor are dangerous, they get narrower and closer together at the top. There was an inch gap around the door so all the light, noise and cold air poured in. I used the cheap nasty hard toilet paper to block the gap. There are only 8 channels on the TV. The bathroom is so cold. I paid for the luxury king which was not good, there is a fireplace, but it is tucked behind the fridge so you can only see it if you go around the fridge. Whoever painted the room got paint on the floors, the tub, the fireplace surround. The light fixture had been replaced but the ceiling was repaired in a cheap and tacky repair. The blanket was torn, the comforter felt like cheap plastic. There wasn't a chair to sit in, and it just goes on and on. Continental breakfast was coffee, muffins cut into halves and cereal. No bananas, yogurt in sight. The towels were so thin and hard that they were more like a loofer. The reception area smells of curry which at 8 am the morning is pretty disgusting. Save your money and go anywhere else. Location was OK and that was all.
