Even though our room faced the courtyard, you could still see the beach. The breakfast is good and the service is very courteous and helpful. We would definitely stay there again. The Amtrak Surfrider Great Value for the price, beautiful location, excellent service, and very clean. The rooms have been renovated to resemble something like a Hampton Inn - the decor is nice, the rooms are large and comfortable, the proprietors are very nice people, everything is very clean, there is a free c Who I think is the owner/manager, was a delight and so helpful. I felt very welcomed here! Love the vibe at this place. The Amtrak train is<BR/>very loud at all hours!! Only negative was that I wish when we asked where to go to enjoy the beach, we would have been told to go 4 miles up the road to San Ckamenteto the pier not the other direction to laguna beach.
