The location and the size of the room. Small elevator. customer rating 5 out of 5 I had a wonderful stay at this historic hotel. I hit the bars during my weekend stay and was able to easily make it back to my room to retire for the night. The location was prime, and I also loved the history and charm. My room was cozy and very clean. The staff was helpful and accommodating. The hotel was quiet and I had no complaints. Great location, spotlessly clean room, comfortable bed. They have a taxi to take you to your vehicle but no easily accessible place to park and unpack. Floors were uneven and slanted at times from age. The rooms technology was decades old. The heater/ac unit didn't work properly. Beds creaked with age. Sink was in the room and not in the bathroom. The sink had two separate faucets, one for hot and cold, so you couldn't get the temperature right. Crowded room. I paid $40, normally $115, and I still felt like I paid too much. The night check in guy was inconsiderate of my family while I unpacked the car.
